Pain is unpleasant sensory emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage. Pelvic pain occurs mostly in the lower abdominal area. The pain might be steady or it might come and go. The pelvic pain may be either somatic or visceral. There are various causes of pelvic pain, there may be of gynecological and non-gynecological causes. Pelvic pain is commonly found in reproductive age group of women. Pain present in lower abdomen and pelvis which may or may not be associated with menstruation.
