Methods: 465 emergency nurses from 10 tertiary hospitals across China participated. The English CSANE was translated following Brislin's translation model, culturally adapted through expert consultation and pilot testing, and finalized as the Chinese CSANE. Reliability was assessed using internal consistency coefficients, reliability, and validity. Results The Chinese CSANE comprises 7 dimensions and 78 items. Exploratory factor analysis extracted 7 common factors, accounting for 76.919% of cumulative variance. Confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated good model fit. The total scale Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.994, with split-half reliability at 0.975. Item-level content validity indices ranged from 0.77 to 1.00, while scale-level content validity reached 0.93. Conclusion: The Chinese version of CSANE demonstrates good reliability and validity, serving as a reliable tool for assessing emergency response capabilities among emergency nurses in China. Contribution to Patients or Public: CSANE can assist nursing administrators in accurately formulating management strategies to enhance emergency response capabilities among emergency department nurses, stabilize the nursing workforce, and ensure nursing safety.
