Abstract
Objective To investigate expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in adenomyosis and endometrial implantation cyst of ovary, and to explore pathogeneses of adenomysis and endometrial implantation cyst of ovary. Methods Expression of VEGF in eutopic and ectopic endometria of 29 women with endometrial implantation cyst of ovary,36 women with adenomyosis and 33 normal women was detected by using immunohistochemical method. Results ①The positive expression of VEGF in either eutopic or ectopic endometria of women with adenmyosis was significantly higher than that of normal women(χ2 =29.30,13.16,respectively,both P0.01).The positive expression of VEGF in either eutopic or ectopic endomtria of women with endometrial implantation cyst of ovary was significantly higher than that of normal women(χ2=12.52,P0.01;χ2 =5.15,P0.05);②The positive expression of VEGF in eutopic endometria of women both with uteroadenmyosis and endometrial implantation cyst of ovary was significantly higher than that in ectopic endometria of women in the same group(χ2 =4.43,3.86,respectively,both P0.05).And the expression of VEGF in either eutopic or ectopic endometria of women with adenmyosis was significantly higher than that in either eutopic or ectopic endometria of women with endometrial implantation cyst of ovary(χ2=3.97,3.85,respectively,both P0.05);③The expression of VEGF in eutopic endometria in secretory stage of women with either adenmyosis or endometrial implantation cyst of ovary was significantly higher than that in eutopic endometria in proliferative stage of the women(χ2=3.90,3.87,respectively,both P0.05).Conclusion ①The abnormal expression of VEGF in adenmyosis and endometrial implantation cyst of ovary plays an important role in development of adenmyosis and endometrial implantation cyst of ovary;②According to the fact of similarities and dispensary in expression of VEGF between adenomyosis and endometrial implantation cyst of ovary,we can speculate that both of the diseases are different results of same etiological factor in different site and different environment.
