Abstract
Objective To Analyze two different ways of rat endometriosis models by autotransplantation and opening uterine cavity, and observe clinical features of ectopic endometrium. Methods Sixteen female SD rats were autotransplanted of uterine tissue intoright side of the abdominal wall,at same time, the uterine tissue from left side of the uterine cavity were exposed to utserosacral ligament through surgery in same rat. In order to determine whether the models were established successfully,hetero-topic tissues were taken for histomorphological and pathological examination on the 28th day after surgery. Results The success ratio of rat endometriosis model by way of autotransplantation was 87. 5% as well as the 62. 5% in the model by opening uterine cavity. The ectopic endometrium by autotransplantation was higher than that by opening uterine cavity. Its color was hyacinthine or caseating almost without adhereing to peripheral tissue. The ectopic endo-metrium by opening uterine cavity was bigger, locally with dark red,and rounded hump or lucent sacculiform. And the lesion was adherent seriously. The rate of accord examined by pathological examination and the unaided eye: endometriosis of autotransplantation was 87. 5% ; opening uterine cavity was 71. 43% ; and the combination of the two ways was 100% . Conclusions Endometriosis models by the way of the autotransplantation and opening uterine cavity are both the effective ways for establishing rat endometriosis models. Combined methods can increase the success rate of constructing rat models.
