Progress in the researches on placental protein 14

Placenta protein 14(PP14) is a group of glycoprotein synthesized in endometrium.Its expression is regulated by many factors.The main functions of PP14 are immune suppression,induction of cell differentiation,angiogenesis promotion and the regulation of the binding between sperm and the zona pellucida.With the research progress,the important role of PP14 is found in clinic,such as the role it plays in normal pregnancy,miscarriage,ectopic pregnancy,infertility,endometriosis and gynecological malignant tumor etc.This paper will sum up the outcomes of the researches on PP14.
