Abstract
Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent disease in which the endometrial tissue with growth function appears outside the mucosa and myometrium of the uterine cavity, and its exact pathogenesis has not yet been elucidated. Endometriosis is a chronic disease that requires long-term management because of its unclear etiology, difficulty in eradication, recurrence and the possibility of cancer. The symptoms of endometriosis can be relieved after conventional western medicine treatment, but will recur after stopping the medicine. There are many clinical studies showing that acupuncture combined with medicine has high clinical efficacy in the treatment of endometriosis, relieving clinical symptoms with few adverse effects.
