The study investigated the design, development, and testing of a solar-powered adsorption cooling system intended for Indian operating conditions, motivated by the environmental appeal of adsorption cooling and by the sensitivity of performance to operating conditions and refrigerant-adsorbent thermophysical properties. It describes the use of activated carbon as an adsorbent within collectors driven by a solar-powered flat plate, testing a methanol–activated carbon refrigerant pair and reporting preliminary outcomes. The authors state that the device produced cooled water at 6 °C and 12 °C. The paper is a preprint and explicitly notes it has not yet undergone peer review, which limits confidence in the preliminary results, and it does not address endometriosis or adenomyosis. The paper does not explicitly discuss endometriosis or adenomyosis; it was included in the corpus via a keyword match in the upstream search index.

The system performance is greatly impacted by the operating conditions and the thermos physical characteristics of the refrigerant pair. Activated carbon (AC) research is vital for adsorption cooling systems. The limitations of solar adsorption refrigeration technology can be addressed by using ACF as an adsorbent. Higher adsorption capacity per unit kg of adsorbent and quicker adsorption/desorption times are possible with ACF. The effectiveness of adsorption cooling systems taking into account different refrigerant pairings has been thoroughly studied. The adsorbent is contained in collectors that are powered by a solar-powered flat plate. Methanol and activated carbon were used as the adsorbent and adsorbate pair for this investigation. The cooling device endured design, development, and testing. According to preliminary findings, cooled water is produced at 6 ˚C and 12 ˚C.
