Analysis on 12 Cases of Rupture of Ovarian Endometrioma

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the charactericstics of the rupture of ovarian endometrioma. Methods: Clinical data of rupture of ovarian endometrioma from Jan 2002 to Dec 2005 were retrospectively analysed. Results: 9 of 12 cases were misdiagnosed. Rupture often occurred in perimensture. The main symptoms were acute abdomen pain. Most of patients' temperature were normal. Part of patients' white blood cell and most of patients' serum CA125 were elevated. Conclusions: The rupture of ovarian endometriaoma were disposed to be misdiagnosed. The characteristics of the disease should be recognized better.
