Abstract

Objective To study the clinical value of hysteroscopy in diagnosis and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding. Methods 260 patients with abnormal uterine bleeding were randomly divided into two groups,130 patients in each group, hysteroscopy group and control group.130 patients in hysteroscopy group were treated under hysteroscopy, through pathological examination by locating sampling under hysteroscopy or curettage, and traditional curettage diagnosis was given to 130 cases in control group.Hysteroscop surgical treatment was used when the result was abnormal. Results 126 cases were diagnosed abnormal among 130 cases in hysteroscope group with the detection rate 96.92%,and the other 4 cases were diagnosed slight endometrial hyperplasia and without abnormal under hysteroscopy.120 cases were cured through hysteroscopic surgical treatment, with the cure rate 95.23%,6 case with endometrial atypical hyperplasia and local carcinogenesis were cured after abdominal hysterectomy.92 cases were abnormal and 38 cases were normal among 130 cases in control group with the detection rate 70.76%.67 cases who were abnormal of pathologic biopsy were cured through hysteroscop surgical treatment with the cure rate 72.83%,there was no improvement after treatment among the other 25 cases.30 cases of endometrial polyp,15 cases of submucous myoma,9 cases of adenomyosis and 4 cases of endometrial atypical hyperplasia and local carcinogenesis were detected among 38 cases who were normal and 25 cases with no improvement after treatment, and the omission diagnostic rate was 44.61%(58/130);and another 5 cases were diagnosed slight endometrial hyperplasia and without abnormal under hysteroscope.54 cases were cured after hysteroscopy surgical treatment among the 58 cases who were diagnosed normal wrong.4 cases with endometrial atypical hyperplasia and local carcinogenesis were cured after abdominal hysterectomy. The detection rate and cure rate of hysteroscope group were both higher than those in control group(P0.05).There was no obvious complications in the hysteroscopic surgical treatment. Conclusions Hysteroscopy is safe and effective in diagnosis and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding.
