Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression of CD105 in the eutopic and ectopic endometrium of ad-enomyoma and their relation with the pathogenesis of adenomyoma. Methods CD 105 was detected by immunohis-tochemical Envision staining in the eutopic and ectopic endometrium of 41 with adenomyoma. The expressions of CD 105 were obtained by use of a computerized image analysis system.Restults The expression of CD 105 in the ectopic endometrium of adenomyoma was significantly higher than that in the eutopic(P0.01). The expression of CD 105 in the ectopic endometrium of adenomyoma in follicular phase of menstrual cycle was single higher than that in cerpus leteum phase of menstrual cycle, but the difference was not significant(P0.05).The expression of CD 105 in the ectopic endometrium of adenomyoma in the patients with dysmenorrhea was significantly higher than that in the patients without dysmenorrhea(P0.01).Conclusion The expression of CD105 in the ectopic endometrium of adenomyoma was significantly higher than that in the eutopic and significantly correlated with dysmenorrhea. The overexpression of CD 105 has close relationship with adenomyotic angiogenesis which may be involved in the progression of adenomyosis.
