Abstract
FUNCTIONAL BLEEDING may occur from any type of endometrium, cystic and hyperplastic, pn liferative, progestational, or atrophic. Similarly, amenorrhea may be associated with the same types of endometrium. We have observed cystic glandular hyperplasia of the endometrium in cases of long standing amenorrhea. The gestational endometrium during pregnancy is not associated with bleeding except on very infrequent occasions.
