Abstract
Objective To study the expression and significance of Kiss-1 and osteopontin(OPN) in ectopic and eutopic endometrium in patients with endometriosis. Methods The expression of Kiss-1 and OPN in 35 cases of normal endometrium,35 cases of ectopic and eutopic endometrium in endometriosis patients were detected by immunohistochemical method. Results The positive expression rate of Kiss-1 was 31.4%,40.0%and 65.7%,respectively in ectopic and eutopic endometrium of endometriosis and normal endometrium and it was significantly lower in ectopic and eutopic endometriotic tissues compared with that in the normal endometrium(P0.05).The positive rate of OPN in the ectopic and eutopic endometrium of endometriosis and normal endometrium were 68.6%,62.9%and 37.1%,respectively.The positive expression rate of OPN in ectopic and eutopic endometriotic tissues was significantly higher than that in the normal endometrium(P0.05).Significant relevance was found between the expression of OPN and Kiss-1(P0.05).Conclusion The decreased expression of Kiss-1and increased expression of OPN protein may be involved in the invasion of endometriosis.
