Abstract

Estrogen receptors belong to the nuclear receptor superfamily, which is one of the most important hormone of the female reproductive system.Estrogens must binds with its receptor, and then play an important role.Gene polymorphisms of estrogen receptor α influence the expression and function of ERα.Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent diseases, whether there is relationship between ERα gene polymorphism and Endometriosis is still in discussion. This article reviewed the ER α gene polymorphism and its relationship with endometriosis.
