Abstract

Abstract: Primary dysmenorrhea is defined as recurrent, crampy lower abdominal pain that occurs during menstruation without pelvic pathology. It is the most frequent gynaecological complaint in adolescents. The literature indicates that young women with primary dysmenorrhea have stress, anxiety, lower-back pain, and depression.Yoga is practiced extensively to enhance health and reduce tension. It consists of breath regulation, easy meditation, and performing specific body postures. Daily yoga practice may be an adjuvant to the main treatment of dysmenorrhea symptoms. This study has emphasized the effects and advantages of yoga in young women with dysmenorrhea and underlying physiological changes.
