Changes of the levels of serum CA_(125), EMAb and sexual hormones before and after laparoscopic monopole electromyolysis in the treatment of adenomyosis

Objective To investigate the changes of the levels of serum CA125, EMAb and sexual hormones before and after laparoscopic uterine arteries blockage in the treatment of adenomyosis. Methods The operations of laparoscopic uterine arteries blockage were performed in 26 cases of adenomyosis.The levels of serum CA125, EMAb and sexual hormones were detected before and after the therapy. Results After the therapy, the levels of serum CA125, MAb decreased significantly, P0.01. There was no statistical difference between the measurements of FSH ,LH, E2 before and after the surgery, P0.05. No menopause changes appeared. Conclusions Laparoscopic monopole electromyolysis would decrease the levels of serum CA125, EMAb, but not affect the serum levels of FSH, LH and E2.
