Abstract

Objective To investigate the affection of serum estradiol(E2),endometrial aromatase cytochrome P450(P450arom) and estrogen receptor(ER) expression in patients with endometriosis after treatment with anastrozole. Methods Twenty cases of endometriosis with anastrozole treatment for 3 months and 20 cases of endometriosis control group with no treatment was measured by radioimmunoassay analyses of serum E2,imunohistochemical analyses of the endometrial expression of P450arom and ER.Results Serum E2,the expression level of P450arom、ER was decreased in the study group compared with the control group. Conclusion Anastrozole treats endometriosis by the ways of reducing serum E2 and decreacing the expression o f P450arom and ER in endometrium.
