Method Seawater immersion burn model in rabbits was achieved by heating copper tube and seawater. 48 New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into two groups ( group A and group B). Group A implanted nothing, and group B implanted PRP. The healing of seawater immersion burn wound in rabbits was detected by microscopic observation, histology, and immunohistochemistry, ELISA, and qPCR. Result The wound healing rate in the group B was significantly increased compared with group A. Compared with the group A, the rate of CD31-positive cells in group B was increased, while the contents of TNF-α and IL-1β were significantly decreased. The mRNA levels of VEGF, and PDGF in group B were evidently increased. Conclusion PRP can promote seawater immersion burn wound healing in rabbits by increasing the positive cell rate of CD31, upregulating the expression of VEGF, and TGF-β1 protein in wound tissue, and decreasing the contents of TNFα and IL-1β.
