Abstract

OBJECTIVE To explore the mechanism of action of Shaohong Xiaojie particle in the treatment of endometriosis by investigating the expressions of MMP-2 mRNA in ectopic endometriums of rats with endometriosis.METHODS The expression of MMP-2 mRNA was tested by RT-PCR.RESULTS The tow dose-group could restrain the volume of ectopic endometriotic tissue(P0.05),and also can reduce its weight(P0.01).The expressions of MMP-2 mRNA was decreased simultaneously(P0.01).CONCLUSION Shaohong Xiaojie particle can decrease the expressions of MMP-2 mRNA in ectopic endometriums,which may be responsible for its therapeutie effect on endometriosis.
