The research model is based on the conservation of resource theory, which suggests stress interaction and resource loss spiral. A sample of 74 Hong Kong university students revealed parental strain and study strain positively related to Internet Addiction, parental strain is significantly negatively correlated with well-being, and resources can significantly predict well-being.
