The results revealed a record of pollen grains, spores, arthropod fragments, and fungi at top core layers, as well as intact individuals of Drepanocladus longifolius in deeper sections. Overall, pollen grains accompanied sedimentary laminated structures suggesting shrinkage of the climate at the pro-glacial environment, as well as an atmospheric connection between South America and the Northern Antarctic Peninsula modulated by the westerly winds.
