Abstract
Objectives:To investigate effects of Xiaoyi prescription on changes of contents of MCP-1 and IL-6 in patients with endometriosis(EM patients).Methods:103 patients with endometriosis were divided into the traditional Chinese medicine treatment group(33 patients),the placebo control group(36 patients),and the blank control group(34 patients). The changes of contents of MCP-1 and IL-6 in blood serum and endometrium were compared between the groups before and after the treatment. Results:There is a significantly reduction in contents of MCP-1 and IL-6 in the blood serum and endometrium in the traditional Chinese medicine group after the treatment, while neither the changes in blood serum and endoumetrium in the blank control group nor those in the placebo control group were as significant as they in the traditional Chinese medicine group. Conclusion:Xiaoyi prescription is able to reduce the contents of MCP-1 and IL-6 in both blood serum and endometrium in patients with endometriosis.
