Evaluation of Hysteroscopic Electrosurgery:a Report of 136 Cases

Objective: To study the clinical application of hysteroscopy operation in gynaecology. Methods: 136 cases which had operation indications from Feb.2003 to Dem 2006 received hysteroscopy operation with continuous flow resectoscope. 69 out of the 136 cases received hysteroslopic ablation or biopsy technique of the endometrium. 49 patients with myoma of uterus and 2 patients with subset uterus accepted hysteroslopic resection. Another 16 cases received the extraction of the foreign matters in their uterus cavity. Results: Operation complications and post-operation complications were found among three of 136 cases. All were followed-up within 6-18 months. Among 48 patients who accepted ablation of endometrium, 17patients reduced menstruation .Among 49 patients with resection of myoma, 46 patients recovered normal menstruation, 1 patient was converted to open operation because of sarcoma, and 2 patients were diagnosed as adenomyosis. 16 patients who accepted extraction of the foreign matters in uterus all got good clinical therapeutic effect, a patient who was converted to open operation because of the pregnancy at the scar of uterus excepted. Conclusion: Utilizing hysteroscopy to diagnose and to treat the intrauterine disease has the benefit of mini-invasion, fast-recovery, and good curative -effect.
