Abstract

Objective To investigate the correclation of E-cadherin and endometriosis. Methods Using immunohistochemistry(sp) to detect the expression of E-cadherin in 30 ectopic and 20 eutopic endometrium of patients with endometriosis and 30 endometrium in healthy control groups. Results E-cadherin expression was demonstrated in all endometrium, and was restricted to epithelial cellsl However, E-cadherin in ectopic and eutopic endometrium were significant decreased compared with normal control groups. Conclusions Our results suggest that E-cadherin could be in volved in the development of endometriosis.
