Abstract
AIM To evaluate the clinical significance and feasibility of detecting serological tumor associated angigen CP 2 and anti idiotypic monoclonal antibody 6B 11 Ab 2 among patients with ovanian tumor. METHODS Sera samples obtained from 95 patients with malignancies, 40 with benign diseases and 9 with endometriosis were collected and tested via ELISA assay. The 50 normal samples were employed ascontrol. RESULTS The positive rate was 100 percent for CP 2 and 66.7% for idiotype respectively among those with non mucinous epithelial carcinomas, which were higher than those with ovarian epithelial mucinous carcinomas, non epithelial ovarian carcinoma and genital malignancies ( P 0.01 ). CONCLUSION The detection of such tumor associated antigen and idiotype is of some diagnostic and differential value in clinical practice.
