Synergistic Effect of Guizhi Fuling Pill(桂枝茯苓丸)Combined With Gestrinone Capsules on Adenomyosis

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Guizhi Fuling Pill(桂枝茯苓丸)on adenomyosis(AM).Methods Totally 205 cases of AM were randomized into the Chinese medicine group of 52 cases,control group of 50 cases,integrative medicine group Ⅰ of 51 cases and integrative medicine group Ⅱ of 52 cases.The Chinese medicine group was given Guizhi Fuling Pill(桂枝茯苓丸)one dose daily.The control group was given Gestrinone capsules from the 1st to 5th day during the menstruation and given placebo 3 months later.The integrative medicine group Ⅰ was given Guizhi Fuling Pill(桂枝茯苓丸)at the beginning of administration of Gestrinone capsules.The integrative medicine group Ⅱ was given Guizhi Fuling Pill(桂枝茯苓丸)after 3-month administration of Gestrinone capsules.The therapeutic effect was observed after 6-month treatment.The uterine volume,serum CA125 level and dysmenorrhea score was detected before and after treatment.The side effects and pregnancy outcome were observed after treatment.Results The total effective rate of the Chinese medicine group,control group,integrative medicine I group and integrative medicine group Ⅱ was 92.3%,66.0%,92.2% and 92.3% respectively,with a significant difference between control group and other three groups(P 0.01).There were significant differences between before and after 3-month treatment in the uterine volume,serum CA125 level and dysmenorrhea score in all groups except the uterine volume in Chinese medicine group(P 0.05).All indicators in the Chinese medicine group,integrative medicine group Ⅰ and integrative medicine group Ⅱ were superior to those in the control group after 6-month treatment except the uterine volume in Chinese medicine group(P 0.05).There was no obvious adverse reaction in the Chinese medicine group,with a significant difference between other 3 groups(P 0.05).Conclusion Guizhi Fuling Pill(桂枝茯苓丸)is effective for AM by relieving pain,reducing serum CA125 and effectively controlling uterine volume,with a synergistic effect as combined with Gestrinone capsules.
