Abstract

In recent years, the escalating impacts of climate change have necessitated the development of innovative tools to assess and address climate risks. Community Climate Change Impacts Service (C3IS) is an experimental toolkit that provides a powerful solution to accelerate climate risk analysis by offering an interactive API for on-the-fly analysis utilizing the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform. The toolkit leverages GEE's vast catalog of petabytes of geospatial data and satellite imagery to capture and visualize climate impact risk-related information, enabling scientists and researchers to comprehensively study climate threats. By eliminating the need for pre-processing, modeling, and storage of big data, the C3IS toolkit significantly improves accessibility and usability, enabling informed decision-making when developing resilience strategies to counter climate change impact.
