Abstract
Despite significant advancements in neuro-oncology, glioblastoma remain a formidable challenge. Over the last century, the role and goals of surgery for patients with glioblastoma has evolved dramatically, with surgical intervention maintaining a central role in patient care. Here, we provide of an overview of this evolution and speak to anticipated changes in the future.
