Analysis of misdiagnosis of 20 cases of pelvic tuberculosis

Objective To explore the causes of misdiagnosis of female pelvic tuberculosis,improve the diagnosis rate.Methods A retrospective analysis of our hospital in 2000 December to 2010 December,20 cases of pelvic tuberculosis misdiagnosed cases of clinical manifestations,laboratory tests,misdiagnosis and treatment process were analyzed.Results 20 patients were compared with the preoperative misdiagnosis.Among them 10 case was misdiagnosed as malignant ovarian tumor,4 cases were misdiagnosed as ovarian cyst torsion,2 cases were misdiagnosed as ovarian endometriosis cyst,3 cases were misdiagnosed as pelvic inflammatory disease.1 cases were misdiagnosed as old ectopic pregnancy.Conclusion Pelvic tuberculosis misdiagnosis rate is high,should enhance the vigilance of pelvic tuberculosis.Clinically available through the history,improve medical examination,a comprehensive analysis of clinical data and pelvic mass properties,improve the diagnosis rate,necessary operation exploration,in order to improve the accuracy of diagnosis of pelvic tuberculosis.
