Abstract

[Objective] To investigate clinical effects of nemestran in combination with laparoscopic operation in the treatment of ovarian endometriosis cyst. [Method] We retrospectively analyzed 44 cases of laparoscopic operation of ovarian endometriosis cyst in our hospital the recent three years. Patients were divided into two groups randomly as single laparoscopic group and combined therapy group, containing 21 and 23 patients, respectively. In the second group, nemestran was administered in a dose of 2.5 mg continuously for 3 to 6 months twice per week. All the patients had been followed up for 12 months. [Results] The effective rate of single operation group was 42.9%, while it was 60.9% in the combined therapy group, which was much higher than that of first group (P 0.05). [Conclusion] Administering of nemestran after laparoscopic operation was superior to the single operation group with low recurrence rate and could be an effective measure of clinical treatment for patients with ovarian endometriosis cyst.
