The article discusses the results of a retrospective analysis of the medical history of pregnant women with the abnormalities of the placenta. It was found that the causes of the abnormalities of the placenta are diseases of the cardio-vascular and genitourinary system. The main risk factors for the anomaly location of the placenta is: endometritis after artificial abortion, chronic diseases of genital tract, scare of uterus, uterine myomas, adenomyosis and etc. During pregnancy with anomaly of placenta were at the background of threatened abortion, fetoplacental insufficiency. Also at newborns diagnosed intrauterine fetal growth restriction and disorders of CNS.
