Endometriosis of bladder treated with narrow band imaging resectoscope(one case report and literature review)

Abstract

Objective:To increase the awareness of diagnosis and treatment for endometriosis of bladder. Method:The clinical data of one case of endometriosis of bladder treated with NBI resectoscope were reported and the clinical syndrome,diagnosis and therapy of the patient were reviewed.Result:Postoperative pathological diagnosis was endometriosis of bladder.Immunohistochemical examination showed that CD10+,CK7+,CK20-, ER+,PR+.The patient recover well after half a year follow-up period postoperatively.Conclusion:Endometriosis of bladder is a rare disease,which clinical and radiological syndromes are difficult to be distinguished from those of bladder tumors.The diagnosis should be confirmed by pathological examination.However,NBI resectoscope proves to be of great value in differential diagnosis and therapy for endometriosis of bladder.
