preprint
OA: closed
Abstract
Diversity is increasingly recognised as a cornerstone of excellence in medical education and global healthcare delivery. Embracing diversity across race, gender, religion, culture, and international backgrounds is essential for developing culturally competent healthcare professionals, promoting innovation, addressing healthcare disparities, and improving global health outcomes. This editorial explores the significance of diversity in medical education, its impact on healthcare delivery, and its implications for global health systems. A short review of literature on the subject is also included to contextualise these insights and support future policy actions.
