Expression of Macrophage Migration Inhibitory Factor in Endometriosis Patients

Objective To evaluate the expression and significance of macrophage migration inhibitory factor(MMIF)in endometrium of endometriosis patients.Methods The expressions of MMIF in ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium of 82 cases of endometriosis and 58 cases of non-endometriosis were detected by immunohistochemistry method.Results Compared with eutopic endometrium and endometrium without endometriosis,the expression of MMIF in ectopic endometrium was higher.Compared with endometrium without endometriosis,the expression of MMIF in eutopic endometrium was higher.Compared with stage Ⅰ,the expression of MMIF in stage Ⅳ of eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium were higher significantly(P0.05).Conclusion The MMIF is related to the genesis and progression of endometriosis.
