Abstract
Recently,Matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs) and their in hi bitors(TIMPs) are believed to play a significant role in the development of endo metriosis.In this paper,we make a summary of the classification,distribution,bio logical function of MMPs and their inhibitors,and the role of MMPs/TIMPs in path ogenesis of endometriosis.
