Abstract

Endometriosis is a common disorder in the reproductive age woman, and as a result has been intensively studied over the last one hundred years. In the early 20th century, the disease was thought to be relatively straightforward in its etiology and treatment. However, as investigators have delved into understanding this disorder, the complexity of endometriosis has become apparent. Indeed, as we learn more about this challenging pathology, more and more questions become apparent.
