Comparison of clinical therapeutic effect between Sanjiezhentong capsule per oral and Mifepristone in treatment of endometriosis after laparoscopic conservative surgery

Objective:To compare the therapeutic efficacy of Sanjiezhentong capsule and Mifepristone for endometriosis after laparoscopic conservative surgery.Methods:A retrospective analysis was made in 51 patients with endometriosis who accepted laparoscopic surgery from Sep.2006 to Jun.2008.29 cases underwent treatment of Sanjiezhentong capsule after surgery and 22 cases received Mifepristone.Results:The total effective rate of Sanjiezhentong capsule group was 72.4% and 72.7% in Mifepristone group,the difference was not significant(P0.05).Moreover the conception rate of sterile patients was 31.3% in Sanjiezhentong group and 30.0% in Mifepristone group,the difference was not significant(P0.05).The difference of the recurrence rate in one year was not significant,27.6% in Sanjiezhentong capsule group and 27.3% in Mifepristone group(P0.05).However,the incidence rate of side-effects in Sanjiezhentong capsule group was less than that in Mifepristone group(P0.05).Conclusions:Sanjiezhentong capsule and Mifepristone are effective adjunctive therapies for patients with endometriosis after laparoscopic operation.But Sanjiezhentong capsule avoids side-effect of Mifepristone,guttate hemorrhage,hepatic and renal lesion,and does not significantly affect endocrine.With normal menstruation,patients would like to take Sanjiezhentong capsule which does not affect normal conception.
