Abstract

Endometrial polyps (EPs) are a common gynecological disorder consisting of endometrial glands and fibrotic endometrial stroma containing thick-walled blood vessels. They are most commonly found in the back wall of the uterus, at the base of the uterus, or at the uterotubal junction. Epidemiological surveys have shown that the incidence of EP ranges from 7.8% to 50%.
