Abstract

Objective:To explore the relationship of the cancer antigen 125(CA125) with endometriosis. Methods:Serum CA125 was measured by RIA in patients with endometriosis, hysteromyoma and cervix cancer as well as normal controls. Results:The positive rates of serum CA125 detected in 79 patients with endometriosis,70 cases with hysteromyoma,64 cases with cervix cancer and 80 healthy normal subjects were 79.75 %,8.57%,17.19% and 0.00%,respectively.The positive rate of former was significantly higher than that of three latter groups. Conclusions:The results showed that there was an evident relationship between serum CA125 and endometriosis, and the detection of CA125 may be a new diagnostic method for endometriosis.
