Abstract
To reduce the effects of greenhouse gases and other pollutants, it is needed to look towards other sources of energy that are virtually unlimited or regenerative such as renewable energy sources like solar, wind, hydro, etc. Utilization of these renewable sources to our advantage and meeting our needs, people face some technical problems, especially when using those resources simultaneously with our existing system. In this paper, the authors are going to focus on one of the technical problems with the integration of renewable energy sources in an already existing conventional energy distribution system. For this project, the authors have surveyed a load of a building that has an on- grid solar power system also used the software ETAP (version 12.6.0) for simulating a single line diagram for the whole distributed system and performed load flow analysis. Another objective of this present work is the installation of a virtual solar array that can support a certain percentage of loads for the distributed system under consideration.
