Abstract

Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect of Wenjingyiweikang keli on endometriosis and dysmenorrhea. METHODS: The rat endometriosis model was produced by surgery,we observed the change of uterus tissue morphology, the antibody level of antiendometrium and the serum level of estradiol, progesterone and PGF2. The effect on uterus activation, inflammation and pain was also observed. RESULTS: Wenjingyiweikang keli could inhibit the endometriosis of rat, reduced the antibody level of antiendometrium, decreaser the level of estradiol, progesterone and PGF2 n serum (p0.01).Through pathological observation, the glands and glandular epithelium of abnormal endometrium were obviously withered, the effect was dose dependent, similar to Danazol. The uterus constriction of rat in vitro and of rbbit in vivo was both inhibited. In vitro, the range, the frequency and the tension of the constriction were decreased, the effectwas dose dependent, while in vivo, only the tension of the constriction was inhibited. So did the uterus constriction produce by oxytocin and ergotocine, and the effect was stronger than the effect of Yueyueshu and Danazol. The growth of ovary and folliculus were not effected. The eggwhiteinduced paw swelling of rat and the xyleneinduced auricular swelling of mouse were inhibited. The mouse twisting induced by acetic acid was not influenced, either. The normal immune system of rat was not influenced.
