Changes of mast cells and eosinophilic granulocytes in ectopic endometrium of rats
OA: closed
Abstract
To observe the changes of the number and localization of mast cells and eosinocytes in ectopic endometrium from EMT model rats and to study the relationship between mast cells, eosinocytes and endometriosis. Rat endometriosis model was established; eutopic and ectopic endometrium were acquired for light and electron microscopic examination every clay after operation. Some mast cells were seen in the ectopic endometrium after operation. From the 8~(th) day after operation, numerous mast cells were noted around blood vessels and the fibrotic interstitium; from the 9~(th) day after operation the number of eosinophilic granulocyte increased in ectopic endometriurm. The number and the distribution of mast cells and eosinocytes in ectopic endometrium may be related to the development and progression of endometriosis.
