Abstract

Objective: To study the expression of beta3 integrin in human endometriosis and endometrial carcinoma and to explore the correlation between the expression and pathogenesis of human endometriosis and their biological behavior. Methods: Immunohistochemical SP method was employed to detect the expression of beta3 integrin in 10 specimens of eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium of endometriosis,10 specimens of endometrial carcinoma and 10 specimens of normal endometrium. Results:The expression of beta3 integrin in eutopic endometrium of endometriosis were significantly lowerer than normal endometrium(P0.05),the expression in ectopic endometrium of endometriosis were significantly higher than those of eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium(P0.05,P0.05),and the expression in endometrial carcinoma were significantly higher than those of normal endometrium(P0.05).There was no significant difference between the expression of beta3 integrin in ectopic endometrium of human endometriosis and endometrial carcinoma(P0.05).Conclusion: The abnormal expression of beta3 integrin might be correlation with the pathogenesis of human endometriosis and the similar biological behavior between human endometriosis and endometrial carcinoma.
