Illness Perception and Health-related Quality of Life (HRQoL) of Individuals Diagnosed with Endometriosis.

Illness perception has been identified as a protective factor in managing chronic conditions and lowering negative emotional responses to illness, leading to improved HRQoL, enhanced psychological wellbeing, and reduced distress. Moreover, psychosocial interventions designed to specifically target illness perceptions have been found to produce modest positive benefits in treatment outcomes, mental wellbeing, and HRQoL in health conditions such as type 2 diabetes and myocardial infarction. The current study aims to address the gap in knowledge regarding the relationships between illness perception and and HRQoL in people diagnosed with endometriosis.
