Expression and significance of MMP-3,TNF-α and VEGF in endmetriosis

Objective To investigate the effect of matrix metalloproteinases-3(MMP-3),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) on the development of endmetriosis(EMs).Methods Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of MMP-3,TNF-α and VEGF in the EMs eutopic and ectopic endometrium and normal endometrium.Results MMP-3 expression in ectopic endometrium was significantly higher than that in normal endometrium and eutopic endometrium(P0.05);TNF-α expression in ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium was higher than that in the normal endometrium(P0.05),and TNF-α expression in ectopic endometrium was higher than that in eutopic endometrium(P0.05);VEGF expression in ectopic endometrium was significantly higher than that in the normal endometrium and eutopic endometrium(P0.05).Conclusion Higher expression of MMP-3,TNF-α and VEGF in ectopic and eutopic endometrium of EMs,plays an important role in the development of EMs.
