Abstract
Objective To explore the high risk factors and clinical features associated with ruptured ovarian endometriotic cysts. Methods The clinical features, diagnosis and treatment were compared between the two groups of rupture and unrupture of endometriotic cyst retrospectively. Results Dysmenorrhea was no more than half of all cases. There was no significant difference between the two groups in dysmenorrhea, chronic lower abdominal pain, diameter of cysts and classification of rAFS,while there was significant difference in age, status of marriage, numbers of delivery, days in hospital and recurrence between the two groups. The mean Hct of the culdocentesis fluid was significantly lower than that of hemorrhagic lutein cysts and vein blood.Intraperitoneal fluid was not detected by ultrasonography in most of patients but was found after celiotomy. The sex intercourse was not the high risk factor for the disease. Conclusions There is no relationship between the cyst diameters and cyst ruptorey, but it is more often seen in young patients with severe condition. The mean Hct of the culdocentesis fluid is significantly lower than the value of luteal rupture and vein blood.
