Abstract

Endometriosis is a chronic illness that has a potentially substantial impact on the individual dealing with the disease, as well as her family. Evaluation and measurement of her pain and its response to treatment is made difficult by:1. Methodologic difficulties in measuring pain, especially when chronic.
