"Numérique" vs "face-à-face" : acceptabilité et acceptation d'un programme d'activités physiques adaptées par des femmes atteintes d'endométriose pour une meilleure appropriation de la maladie

Endometriosis is a chronic disease affecting one in ten women. As current treatments are non-curative, adapted physical activity has emerged as a promising complementary approach, although its practice remains limited. Digital tools, already effective in other chronic conditions, could facilitate access to and maintenance of APA, provided they are acceptable and appropriately designed. This doctoral research aimed to compare the effectiveness of an APA program delivered either face-to-face or via a mobile application among women with endometriosis. The objectives were to assess the impact on quality of life and long-term practice, and to analyze the acceptability, acceptance, and appropriation of such interventions. The first phase included a systematic review, qualitative interviews, and a quantitative survey on the acceptability of digital programs. Findings highlight interest in digital health, potential benefits, but also methodological gaps and the need for patient and professional involvement. The second phase test a 12-week APA program with 3-month follow-up. Results show sustained improvements in quality of life across modalities, though higher dropout in the digital group emphasized the need for stronger. Findings confirm the benefits of APA and suggest hybrid models combining digital and face-to-face formats to optimize adherence and sustainability.
