Clinical analysis of 11 cases of out pelvic endometriosis

Abstract
To study the diagnosis,theatment and prevention of the out pelvic endometriosis. Methods:11 cases diagnosed of out pelvic endometriosis were documented in our hospital from January,1989 to December,2002 and were analyzed retrospectively. The patients were followed up for 0.5 to 5 years. Results:The patients with out pelvic endometriosis accounted for 1.48% of all the patients with endometriosis diagnosed in our hospital and the incident of iatrogenic endometriosis was 1.03/1000. The diagnosis of the 11 patients was confirmed before operation and the area of foci were removed perfectly,then the cases were followed up for 0.5 to 5 years,and none of them recurred. Conclusion:Careful history taking and examinations are advantageous for correct diagnosis of out pelvic endometriosis and the operation was primary treatment.
