Abstract
Introduction: Pelvic floor muscles in women play an important role in supporting the pelvic viscera, controlling voiding and defecation and helping in normal delivery. The pelvic floor muscles (PFM) may be exposed to alterations during different phases of a woman's life, such as pregnancy, the postpartum period, and physiological aging (menopause).
