Abstract
Objective:To research the therapeutic effects and side effects of mifepristone on endometriosis.Methods:94 patients with ovarian endometriosis were selected and divided randomly into mifepristone group(Group M)and gestrinone group (Group G).46 cases were in Group M and 48 in Group G.All of them were detected by t and x~2 test. Results:The effective rate of Group M and G was 91.3% and 85.42% respectively. The differences of the effective rate between the groups M and G did not have any statistic significance(P>0.05).Whereas the side effects of Group M were obviously lower than that of Group G.The weight gain rate of Group M and Group G was 15.00% and 43.75% respectively, with an obviously statistic difference(P<0.01). Besides, compared with 25.00% of the Group G,only 4.40% of the Group M had abnormal glutamic pyruvic transaminase. The differences between them also had obvious statistic significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:Mifepritone is similar to Gestrinone in the therapeutic effects on ovarian endometriosis, but mifepristone has fewer side effects than gestrinone.
